 CHAIRMAN'S WELCOME MESSAGE

Mission and Objective of this Great Event:

Technical and Professional Excellence
Networking & Team Building
Sharing information from meeting with others
Making new contacts
Learning what others do in your field
Annual tech. executives Club

Dear fellow B3G/4G colleagues:

This World Wireless Congress (WWC) / Mobile World Congress (MWC) has become a most unique technical and business event on Beyond 3G and 4G technologies, and attracted thousands of professionals from all over the world. This congress proceedings become the very well recognized reference materials in major libraries and technical organizations on next generation wireless mobile communications. From 2004, all WWC papers are in EI Index to reflect WWC's global technical and academic leadership in the field.

Technically supported by many global leading research bodies, this B3G conference has delivered near 40 special issues on B3G and 4G, and supported numerous workshops and seminars in its worldwide sections. The strong technical reviewing team had also contributed to the success of lots of other technical conferences (e.g. Globecom and VTC, etc.) as well as major global  technical publications in wireless communications.

The conference participation information reflects the excellent organization of all the functions. The attendees include: Top Executives from Wireless Carriers, Suppliers, Providers; Senior Representatives from International & Regional Organizations; Scientists & Engineers; Academia; Policy Makers; Technologists; Lawyers; Investors; Government Officials and International Consultants, etc. In general, around 50% are from industries, 30% from academia and 20% from others including government officials and investors.

The technical quality control is always the most important issue of this B3G and 4G conference. We got huge paper submissions and only quite few papers were accepted. For keynote and featured speeches, we only consider the worldwide leaders in the field - mostly by the senior executives of the leading industries. The technical sessions focus on the innovative and application issues of the emerging wireless communications.

We encourage people to join IEEE, ACM, IEICE and CIC, etc by providing special registration discount for its members, etc. As a non-fully-commercial-purpose event, we also provide possible financial supports to the fellow students as well as researchers, etc from selected developing countries for the promotion of research, education and development. Although the conference programs are perfect and meeting costs are very high, we try to low down the registration fee to the minimum amount which is less than 1/2 of major 3G/B3G conferences.

The convergence of broadband wireless mobile and local wireless access will be the next wave in wireless communications. This B3G conference has been expanded to the authoritative World Wireless Congress which becomes the official framework of this well-known 3Gwireless/B3G event. Over 35 countries with over 300 organizations have accepted this very important congress for its leading position in emerging wireless communications. The congress records have been well invited in lots of countries including USA, Canada, China, Germany, Sweden, UK, Malaysia, etc.

In recognition of its global leadership and significance, this event had been sponsored by almost all leading wireless industries in the world, and it is really a great opportunity to help promote their innovative products and services in this extremely important global wireless summit.

San Francisco Bay Area is the world-class base of newest technologies and innovations. The site of this Congress in San Francisco / Silicon Valley will provide an excellent location for participants to become involved with the rapid advancement of information & communication technology and wireless communications. Broadband wireless, Wireless Mobile Internet, Open Wireless Architecture, Wireless Security, Software radio, Wireless networking, Wireless sensing, Smart antennas  and Reconfigurable Digital RF are all emerging as a result of the tremendous development of the wireless semiconductor industries. San Francisco is also one of the most beautiful, exciting, enchanting, sophisticated and pleasurable cities in the world.

In a word, the mission and objective of this great event are: technical and professional excellence; networking and team building; sharing information from meeting with others; making new contacts; learning what others do in your field, and the annual technical executives' club.

Welcome on board and get involved in this most significant wireless congress in the world !
